Quality & Development Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Development Manager based in Burton on Trent, paying up to £42,000 per year.

Our client is a forward-thinking, innovative provider of children’s services and offers all employees a rewarding, dynamic working environment. This position is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week).

As this is a Quality & Development Manager role, you would be expected to travel to the 2 homes in Burton on Trent.

This role is open to experienced Registered Managers looking for a change as well as Deputy Managers looking for a step up.

As a Quality & Development Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all homes are fully compliant with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, including audits, safeguarding, and maintaining Ofsted readiness.
• Support daily operations and provide cover in the manager’s absence, ensuring high-quality care, positive outcomes, and a nurturing, therapeutic environment for young people.
• Work alongside managers to recruit, supervise, and develop high-performing care teams, driving continuous professional development and staff engagement.
• Manage rotas, budgets, regulatory requirements, and HR matters such as investigations and performance management.
• Lead or support safeguarding processes, risk assessments, and care planning to protect and promote the welfare of children and staff.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools, health services, and other stakeholders to support each young person’s development.
• Collaborate with therapeutic professionals and champion continuous improvement across all areas of the organisation.
