Psychologist – CYP Residential (hybrid working)

Shire Healthcare are working with a reputable and leading provider of specialist care and education recruiting for a HCPC reg. Psychologist to be based from home with travel to sites in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

About the employer:

This employer is an independent leading provider of specialist care and education. They work with children, young people in an residential and community setting who present a complexity of needs including developmental trauma.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed be joining an MDT and will oversee assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapeutic planning for children and young people. They will provide specialist and evidence based psychological interventions and input across the region as well as advise on child trauma, attachment, and recovery. This role will be working from home with travel across residential homes in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire (usually 1 site visit to each home per month) .

Contract type – 12months FTC

Hours – Full time

Salary – £63000 fte

Experience required:

Candidates applying will have HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling, Forensic or Educational Psychologist along with previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs such as trauma and attachment.

Essential: Knowledge of the impact of developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences on life trajectories and a full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Desirable: Other clinical training such as CBT; Systemic Psychotherapy; DBT; DDP; EMDR.
