Senior Residential Children’s Worker
We are working in partnership with a provider of children’s services to recruit a Senior Residential Children’s Worker for their home in Levenshulme. You will be part of a dedicated team supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) within a safe, nurturing residential environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Worker to take on more responsibility, lead shifts, and play a key role in supporting both young people and junior members of staff.
What we’re ideally looking for:
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (Essential)
- Previous experience supporting children with EBD and/or learning disabilities
- Ability to lead shifts and mentor others
- MUST hold a Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins
Key responsibilities:
- Lead shifts and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the home
- Provide person-centred support to children, helping them achieve positive outcomes
- Act as a key worker, building strong relationships with young people and families
- Safeguard and protect vulnerable children in line with policies and legislation
- Support, guide, and mentor junior members of staff
- Encourage children to engage in education, activities, and community opportunities
- Maintain accurate records, care plans, and risk assessments
