Psychologist – eating disorders

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Clinical or CounsellingPsychologist to work within an eating disorder outpatients service in Central London.

The employer:

Our client is a well-established reputable outpatient’sservice working with adolescents and adults who present with an eating disorder. This clinic works with NHS eating disorder, bariatric teams, ballet schools and the Royal Ballet. In addition, this employer is contracted to provide both assessments and therapy to participants in a range of television shows.

Role summary

The candidate appointed will provide specialist psychological assessments and therapeutic intervention including CBT-E, schema therapy and/or MANTRA. The post holder’s caseload will mostly focus on 121 (4-5 clients per day) and possibility of facilitating groups.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – 3-5 days per week which will include x1 evening and/or weekend hours (hybrid working available)

Salary – £37,000 – £55,000 FTE

Experience required:

Band 7’s applying will have some experience, knowledge and/or a passion to work with this presentation. Band 8a’s applying will have sound experience working within a specialist eating disorder service, experience of working with children and young people and trained in family based treatment for eating disorders.
